My great, great grandfather worked in the jewellery quarter in Birmingham, and my great grandfather moved to Brighton and undertook repairs in shops around the town. My grandfather established the current repair business in 1946, which is now run by my brother, Sam, who provide servicing and repairs for shops across Sussex. A century’s worth of knowledge and expertise in the jewellery and watch business has been passed down from generation to generation. It’s this expertise I enjoy passing on to my customers, as well as sharing my knowledge and expert advice you won’t find elsewhere. Unlike some high street jewellers, when you visit our shop or speak to me on the phone, you’re not just talking to someone trying to sell you a watch. We’re a family business, so when you speak to me or one of my team, you’re chatting with a person who really understands the importance of helping you make the best choice for you. Buying a piece of jewellery or a watch is often centred on a special event or occasion. Whether it’s a birthday, a wedding or an anniversary, you invest more in the article you select than money. It is a reflection of your relationship with the intended recipient shown in your care and consideration in picking out the perfect piece. Investing in a watch or piece of jewellery is more than just a purchase. It’s a symbol of who you are. An expression of your personality. And at James Ross we know how important it is to get it just right.
